After a quick burn-off, the inaugural cook was some dry-aged NY strip from my local meat market. (that turned out really well.) Before cooking it I offered to split it with my wife, and she said: "I'll probably just have a bite." After said bite, she later came back and insisted on stealing a few more. 😂

I had a few issues during the build of a couple parts not quite lining up, but managed to get it all aligned with a little help. Oh, and whomever designed the side tables on these new Spirit models should be shot. If you don't have a partner with extremely tiny hands, I have no clue how anyone could get the screws inserted and tightened. Just maddening.

Today we're having some company over, and I have some plans for making currywurst with some veggies, and then some steak and elotes. Gonna be a fun day!

  1. The store I ordered my Weber Genesis from offered free assembly and delivery as long as the grill cost more than $399. I qualified for that offer!

    Great grill. Congrats.
I just got my weber e220s last weekend, and have grilled every day since. So far the best grill with even heat I have ever had.

Great grill, I have a Webber Genesis that is 15 years old! It’s time for me to replace the burners and flavorizer bars. Those $350 wonder grills from big box stores (which only last 3 years)don’t hold a candle to a Webber.

  4. I bought the 3 burner 325 Weber spirit and wish it was bigger but boy does it get hot. I usually hate steak on a grill because the propane grills generally just don’t generate enough heat to really sear a steak. But the sear 2 burners on the 325 did a nice job of searing my steaks. It’s not quite the crust I get from a cast iron or carbon steel pan but it’s close. My dad’s 3 burner Weber is a lot bigger surface area but cooks way slower. So I guess the smaller cook surface is a blessing and a curse.
