Honestly… I’m conflicted. If I’m wrong please tell me. I bought it to make up my own mind but as of this posting I personally think it’s stupid.

I’m curious to hear your thoughts after cooking it. Def looks proper stupid.

  2. i mean cinammon isn’t strictly a sweet spice, and caramel goes great on fatty meats like this, so i can see the vision

Cinnamon with bacon sounds like the perfect topping for a sweet potato casserole. I wouldn’t buy it normally but for that price? I would make it work. I don’t think it needs to exist, but hey there it is.

We need a taste update, OP

    I’m so… SO curious

  5. mentalxkp

candied bacon is a thing. this seems very similar.

  6. AliceInNegaland

Haven’t had it but I’m sure it’s great.

  7. Gives it an interesting, sweet taste. At that price, it’s worth giving it a try.

  8. Renegadesdeath

Nah I love it. You can’t burn it or you accidentally candy it. Otherwise, tasty

  9. I tried it. It gave the bacon a good caramelization. Wouldn’t eat it on a regular basis but wasn’t mad about it

  10. Mephisto1822

I’ve had before. My wife saw it and wanted to try it.

    She liked it.

    I thought it tasted weird.

I’ve had a chipotle brown sugar bacon that was pretty good, maybe this is similar?

I got some with ranch flavoring on discontinued. Barely even noticed the difference, would love to know if these are about the same. More of a gimmick than any real flavor change.

I’ve seen this here before and honestly the only stupid thing to me is the branding with a cereal brand. I’d try it.

  14. angelbalaguer

Idk. Personally, I feel this might taste “alright” it may give it a unique flavor. Candied bacon is awesome. Could be somewhat similar. I agree though, stupid concept for sure.

  15. YungRetardd

Sounds like it would taste like brown sugar/maple bacon. Which I like 🤷‍♂️

  16. AgentSkidMarks

Candied bacon is fine but the branding of it here is really stupid. There’s a reason it’s all running on clearance.

I like maple sausage. I’ve had and liked candied bacon. I like a good maple bacon donut. This doesn’t seem that much different, except maybe the cinnamon. I’d try it, especially for $3.42.

  18. Rocco_al_Dente

Personally I’d try it once for fun, but I wouldn’t want to cook it in any of my pans to avoid getting sugar burnt on them.

I’d def bake on cooking sheets with parchment or foil to save yourself some cleanup headache.

  19. LooseCanOpener

I’m always down to try everything atleast once! But as everyone is saying, it looks like they are just speed running candies bacon…. Which is pretty tasty imho

  20. shadowtheimpure

They’re actually pretty good. Not exactly an ‘everyday’ kind of bacon, but good on its own merits.

  21. Well obviously you have to report back. At first blush, the world’s best breakfast cereal coating the world’s best breakfast meat seems strange, but then again, it might be great!

  22. Pervius94

Sugared bacon is unusual if you don’t eat it, but it’s actually alright. I’m not much into that, but yeah people seem to like it.

  23. designmur

It is stupid, but we got some for free at the food bank I work at and they were actually pretty good…you can make it yourself with some brown sugar and cinnamon tho.

  24. FukuPizdik

What’s bbq sauce but syrup and vinegar? Why are chicken and waffles so popular? *Sweet* and *Meat* go together. What’s dumb about it is the big grand name. They could have done a fancier “brown sugar cinnamon” bacon but I think this Hormel brand is on the low end so it’s fine to find stupid product crossover.

  25. Interesting-Bad-7470

    So good

I honestly like to sprinkle mine with like cinnamon or all spice or even pumpkin pie spice

  26. I recognize those stickers! Grocery Outlet, right? I love that place!

Try it. If it’s bad, oh well. If it’s good, this is probably the only change you’ll have.

  27. As a born and raised Minnesotan I love seeing local companies collaborating… this however also has me conflicted.

  28. starboystallone

I was also curious and bought it on sale. It’s sweet and cinnamon-y. Made it to crumble into pancakes and it was great. By itself it would be odd

  29. FUBAR_The_Clown

Tastes like chemicals to me. Why can’t they make real food any more? Plastic this and that!!! Real bacon bits with artificial flavors.
