ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Swannanoa River Road’s CAVA location officially reopened on Wednesday, June 18.
As Asheville recovers from damage caused by Hurricane Helene many businesses have begun returning to the Biltmore Village neighborhood.
The fast-casual restaurant chain that specializes in Mediterranean cuisine expects to operate daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.

“We are so grateful to the CAVA team for their hard work, care and dedication demonstrated in reopening our Asheville restaurant after Hurricane Helene,” said Regional Director Louie Lovejoy in a press release.
Before the reopening, CAVA donated fresh meals to local community members and raised $5,000 for BeLoved Asheville and Buncombe County Long-Term Recovery Group during Asheville’s CAVA Community Day.
CAVA also invites its new neighbors for a free meal, accepts donations to support a local cause, and matches those donations up to $1,000.

According to the news release, CAVA has increased its total match for Asheville’s Community Day to $5,000. This money will be split between CAVA’s two partner organizations to support ongoing hurricane recovery efforts.
“Our mission is to bring heart, health, and humanity to food, and everything we do at CAVA is grounded in that. We couldn’t be more excited to revive our spirit of generosity to our guests, our team members, and the resilient Asheville community this summer,” said Lovejoy.
