It seems to be a Weber GS4 Genesis II – Found on FB marketplace. The seller said he would take $200 for it. Just wondering if people here think it’s a decent deal? Seems better than any new grill I could get in the <$400 range

Actually looks like it’s in pretty good shape it just needs cleaned up. I’d say that’s “ok” from my perspective. Those things are / were $1000 new. That side burner looks like it’s never been touched. Inside lid looks like pretty low hours to me. I have one of these that I’ve ran really hard for years.

Looks great! If everything works and rust is non-existent/minimal, I say go for it!

Offer $175, including propane tank. BTW, you can save a lot of money by getting propane tanks refilled from a local equipment rental place. The ones that you swap out only have 15 lbs of propane.

In my area, that’s a good deal even if you do have to spend an afternoon polishing and cleaning which I wouldn’t do. I clean the insides and grill away.

I bought the same grill at Costco last year for $800. It’s great.

  6. Anyone saying this is a bad or “OK” deal needs to give their head a BIG shake.

From the pics – it’s low use, just needs a good scrub. This was over $1000 new. And you will not even come *close* to buying something as good of quality for $400

Webers are largely rust resistant. I had one uncovered for 5 years on my deck without a speck of rust.

I have the exact same grill and paid $700 for it new. And that included a nice discount. I’d say it’s definitely worth $200 if it works.

I would do it if everything works. You can clean that up real quick. It’s not gonna take 10+ hours like someone said lmao

  9. I own that exact grill, and if someone nearby me was selling it for $200, I would buy it in a heartbeat and put it at my mother-in-law’s.

I paid $1,200 for it about 5-6 years ago.

I’d pay $200 for it & I don’t even need a grill. It needs a good cleaning but doesn’t look like it’s been used very much by the previous owner. Idk why people spend $800+ on a new grill but can’t spend $50 on a decent cover for them, smh.

  11. How much is your leisure time worth to you? It would take me about 4-6 hours to make that one look like new.

  12. I’ve had a slightly different model but basically the same grill for 8 years, it’s fantastic. $200 is an excellent price. Make sure all burners fire up before handing over the cash and you’re golden!

Got exact same model for $$50 used maybe 3 times. Give it a good clean and that will help the sale, I got a bargain, but I would have paid no more than $150 for mine but thank fully it was dirty and no gas bottle…

Nice. For that price I thought you needed new grates. Almost new to me. I bet if you change out the battery for ignition, it would work right away.

Solid looking. Zero complaints from my view of the pictures.

Bought this for $150 a couple years ago. Natural gas version, but it’s awesome!

  17. Fast-Alternative-263

Just check the inside cabinet for rust and the price is fair.

  18. Ok_Appeal_2382

In great condition you got a big deal. Clean it up and grill some chow

All day long, the heavy stainless steel grates are awesome. I think this was an Ace hardware only model. Anyway I paid $1000 for mine 4 years ago.

I do think the older ones are workhorses, and it’s easy enough (even for a wack home mechanic like myself) to replace parts as needed. Not sure of the year of this one but feels like a very solid deal.

  21. sqelixw66

I have that grill. I just can’t remember what I paid for it.

  22. PeTeRoCK13

Looks dirty but in really good shape otherwise. I’d take it

  23. Reggie_Barclay

If the gas lines work and if the dirt comes off completely ie no real rust, then yes, it is worth it.

  24. PatientZeropointZero

Bro if works, you won’t be able to get something close to that quality for $200. Great deal

  25. This price is a gift. Weber do not break, nothing you cannot get back as a spare. Get it, clean it and enjoy it for a lifetime

  26. xanthumgumaddict

My Father has that exact same grill for years now, works great and I’ve use it myself a ton of times. Three different level therms and a sear, plus the side burner is awesome if you want to pan cook a steak or fry something and not stink up the house. I would tot buy this for $200.

  27. Stingray7781

Looks good from what I can see for that price

  28. Plastic_Bullfrog9029

I have that grill. Bought it from Costco four years ago for $1100 and love it. That grill has a 10 year warranty. If it was never registered, you can probably still do so and get the remaining warranty. You can also add a Weber iGrill to the spot next to the gas knob for the side burner. Smoking deal. Jump on it.
