Chef Ludo Lefebvre’s Michelin-starred French restaurant Trois Mec will reopen for one week in its original location next to Petit Trois in Hollywood. The restaurant, which was well-regarded during its run by Los Angeles restaurant critics like Jonathan Gold and Bill Addison, closed permanently in 2020 amid COVID-19. The revival series will kick off on May 9, with dinners running through May 17.
Two seating will be available each night, and the prix-fixe menu is priced at $250 per person, not including wine, tax, and gratuity. Wine pairings from sommelier Dustin Wilson will be available to add on. Diners can expect five snacks to open the meal, with favorites like crispy tapioca with Parmesan and Espelette peppers, buckwheat popcorn with rice vinegar, and a Dijon creme brulee making their return. The main menu will feature five courses and two desserts, including avocado with sushi rice, salt cod cream, cilantro, and lime vinaigrette; raw beef with grilled yogurt, cioppino onions, and caramelized eggplant; and potato pulp with brown butter, Cantal cheese, and bonito. A brie cheesecake with apple butter, barley crumble, and hay cream returns for dessert. As the dinners progress, expect the menu to evolve.
Finnish textiles and furnishing brand Marimekko has partnered with Blue Bottle to roll out a new line of merchandise with its signature designs. The partnership is kicking off at Blue Bottle cafes around the world, including in Los Angeles, where Marimekko has transformed the Beverly Hills Blue Bottle. The coffee shops will also be serving a Marimekko latte inspired by korvapuusti, a Finnish cinnamon roll. The installation and merch rollout starts on April 25 and runs through May 16. The limited-edition merchandise is also available online.

Los Angeles’s Eataly is launching a new dining experience at its La Pizza and La Pasta restaurant, focusing on regional Italian cuisine. The series kicks off on April 28, with the first menu focusing on Roman dishes. Expect supplí cacio e pepe, carciofo fritto alla Romana (fried artichokes), rigatoni alla carbonara, and more.
