I'm not a charcoal snob and usually grab the double bag of Kingsford from BJ's or Costco. At $2 for 14.5 pounds it feels silly not to give this a try.

Buy it all! I use the embers stuff (royal oak seconds) and it works fine. You won’t notice a difference.

  2. It would all be coming home with me. I put a lift in my garage for the attic. I don’t hesitate to load up when I see sales. I’ve had as much as 300lbs up there before.(Not piled in one place)

The Classic is probably ok, but I wouldn’t touch the MinitLite. That’s the RO version of Kingsford’s Matchlight. Stay away from that crap, unless you like your food to taste like lighter fluid.

  4. Let us know what you find inside. I had a bunch of rocks and funny looking wood.

  5. RO briquettes are fine for grilling. I’d buy up a bunch of the classic ones.

Swore off RO after finding too much construction debris. Switched to B&B lump for my smoking, great stuff.

For $2 a bag though, I’ll set aside my bias and run that for burgers!

Not a royal oak fan but for $2 a bag I’d suffer through a few

It’s fine but you have to post an update with the objects you find in the bag as you use it
