Toss it in the garbage! (The kid not the beautiful steak)

What your kid meant was that the sear is too weak and there’s too much grey band

I would push back on the raw comment for sure, but if your kid likes his steak medium then make one medium for him. Aint nothin wrong with that.

Like I said though, calling a perfectly-cooked rare steak raw when rare is the target temp, that IS wrong.

Politely, but firmly, ask those heathens to leave lol

Start over bro. Just gotta have to wait 9 months

Most perfectly detailed example of grey band I’ve seen I think

Yummy are those pickled onions also? I think it looks fantastic…

He should’ve instead complained about the grey band making 1/4 of the steak well done

It took me 6-8 months to get my 16yr old from mid well to mid rare. I decreased the temp every steak or two, now he complains it’s too much if its medium😁👍

  10. That’s way too red for me, but probably well cooked

Nobody likes to chew on unrendered fat and sinew. It’s disgusting to both kids and adults.

This sub is insane with its performative ‘I like my steak very rare’ takes. It’s kind of funny to think how many people chew on undercooked beef slabs because of upvotes on the internet.

Sounds like kid’s eating a pb&j sandwich, while you eat some great looking steak.

  13. Take em to the fire station.. pretty sure that’s still a thing
