  1. In the last video we spoke about the different types of lettuce leaves you can use in a salad, in this episode we are going to talk about the dressing options you can buy & make easy at home to add flavour to your salads.
I usually categories salad dressing into 2 types
    1. Vinaigrettes
    2. Creamy dressing

    What is a Vinaigrettes?
A Vinaigrette is usually an emulsion between oil and an acid/vinegar.
The ratio followed work wide is 1:3, one part vinegar & 3 parts oil, vinegar totes are a much lights and super tangy and are definitely low calories, I actually like my vinaigrette dressing to be much more stronger and go for a 1:1 ratio it just packs a punch, also if you blend it in a mixer you will get a naive and creamy dressing, you can store vinaigrettes in a bottle in a fridge for a long time as they don’t spoil.
Recipe for a basic vinaigrette 👇
3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    Salt to taste
    1/2 tsp crushed black pepper.
-Whisk all of these together and its done.

    What are Creamy Dressings?
These are dressing that are thick and creamy, have a pouring consistency & don’t split and are stable. You get different types in the market, some may be mayo based & even low fat version, creamy dressing are for people who don't enjoy taste of the leaves or just like to make the dressing with extra dressing, but if you're looking for a really healthy creamy dressing, i make some with fresh yogurt/2 cu.
Just gently mix together and flavouring/herbs or sauce you have to the yogurt and its just that easy.
    Recipe for my yogurt dressing
    1/2 cup fresh yogurt
1 tbsp sriracha sauce/ or any spicy sauce
    1 tsp oregano seasoning
    Salt ot taster
    Lemon juice
    1/2 tsp crushed blackjack pepper
-whisk all of it together and it's done.
