today i’m going to be teaching you how to make my cozy lamb and orzo stew it’s hearty it’s delicious it all comes together in one pot okay so we’re going to begin with a boneless leg of lamb this one is about 4 and 12 lbs cut it into big chunks and then i have my dutch oven heating over mediumigh heat i’ll add a little bit of olive oil to it we’ll just do one batch at a time about 3 to four minutes per side take the lamb out and start with a fresh batch of oil like about a/4 cup of it the onion and the carrots are going to go into the pot so once the onions are nice and soft we’re going to go in with five garlic cloves that are grated and just warm them through until they’re fragrant next we’re going to put the lamb back into the pot season it with salt and freshly cracked black pepper i’ll also add two bay leaves a little pinch of crushed red pepper flakes a teaspoon of paprika a heaping teaspoon of dried oregano you can go in with a tablespoon of honey and 28 oz or two cans of crushed tomatoes about 6 to 8 cups of water and give it a nice mix this it’s going to take about an hour and a half for the lamb to fully cook now we’ll add orzo pasta a 15oz can of cooked chickpeas also known as garbanzo beans cook this for about another 15- 20 minutes until the orzo is al dente add the parsley with half to one teaspoon of dried mint and just like that the lamb and orzo stew is ready i hope you guys give this recipe a

Ooh, looks noice
Delicious! ❤️
Looks amazing 👏
Even though it’s in the 80°, 5:30 am this looks so incredibly appetizing. I love easy, thick and hearty regardless of the seasons, particularly if you make it. I was wondering if you have any beef short rib recipes? I searched your website and found lamb shanks and chops, but my dearest friend requested beef short ribs with polenta or any potatoes for her birthday. She’s already picked out your mango cream torte for her cake. I’m a bit nervous, but it looks like a luscious summer dessert.
This looks divine. I can’t wait to try it.
Looks like a fall camping dish. As usual looks terrific. 😊
Thank you, Dimitra.
💖🙏💫😋🏆
This is the 5th Dimitra dish I’ve made! Thank you for the inspiration!
Is this the same as yiouvetsi? I make this often in several ways, but basically Greek style. 😋
What's the point of adding honey? To cut down on the acidity of the tomatoes?
