I entered my first backyard BBQ competition yesterday with a few friends and smoked the competition! We won first place in both categories (ribs and tri tip) and overall champions! It was definitely a fun experience. We were the only group with weber kettles while almost everyone else had pellet smokers.
The only challenge was dealing with the rain and wind. It was raining all day, but we made it work!
After seeing the picture of the tri tip I went back and cleaned up the black pepper off the the slices lol.
