Vegetarian Recipe – Caprese Salad with Balsamic Glaze by What Shall I Cook
Ingredients:
• 3–4 ripe tomatoes (heirloom or Roma), sliced
• 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced into rounds
• Fresh basil leaves (a handful)
• 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
• Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
• 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions:
1. Arrange the Salad
On a large plate or platter, alternate slices of tomato and mozzarella, slightly overlapping. Tuck fresh basil leaves on top.
2. Season
Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
3. Add the Glaze
Drizzle balsamic glaze over the salad just before serving.
4. Serve Immediately
Best enjoyed fresh at room temperature with crusty bread on the side.
