Thing is basically brand new. OG owner said he only used it like 10 times. Smoked chicken spatchcock Saturday and it was bomb as hell. I normally don’t like while meat and it was the best white meat I’ve ever had and insanely easy. Did ribs yesterday and they were killer. Left it alone for 2hrs to hit the pool and discovered I smothered it, but it was all good as they were mostly done at that point so I fired it back up and ribs were bomb too! Def need to dial in my vent control. Anywho stoked to learn this thing! Plans to do brisket next weekend! Been almost solely been using ChatGPT for instructions and recipes and made it’s a game changer if y’all haven’t gone that route yet. Seems like I should grab a coal basket though? It came with one heat deflector, but also a 16” pizza stone that looks like the og owner used that as his new deflector bc it had burnt dripping on it so that’s what I am using as my deflector plate. Once the pizza stone breaks i plan on getting a half moon pottery kiln shelf for $20 as they seem way more durable and are the same thing for 1/4 of the price.

Suggest moving it away from the house unless you like dealing with insurance and loss of shelter/possessions…

I’m happy for you, looks great. You’ve no idea how expensive these things are or how difficult to get in the uk 🇬🇧😞. Add a zero and you get the idea 😭

They had it posted for $350, I offered $200 and they came back with $250. I knew that was a steal so didn’t hesitate at $250, as I could easily make my money back if I didn’t end up liking it!

Did the original owner have the manual? It has the serial number in it for warranty purposes.
