I had my first bottle of Opus One five years ago—and it was the 2016 vintage. Just revisited it again this week, and honestly, I still love it.
It’s aged beautifully. Compared to back then, it feels more balanced now—more expressive fruit, smoother texture, and the tannins have really mellowed out. Less grippy, more elegant. Still unmistakably Opus, but with more finesse.
