  2. Orange habaneros are *the best* peppers and I will die on that hill. It’s like a sweet bell pepper wanted to be spicy and did so.

    Ok, but pickling with the rind won’t give you any of the heat, maybe some earthy sweetness but the real treasure in those peppers looks like it’s been scooped out. Where are the seed clusters?

    This has been my staple at bbqs for a few years now! I use Serious Eats’ recipe for pickled red onion except I use half the sugar and habanero instead of jalapeño. I’m not against sugar or anything, I just prefer my pickled red onions a little less sweet. My bbq sauce is pure diabetes to balance it out
