Visited Restaurant Facil last April. It was the first time I did it alone and I enjoyed it a lot.
I feel being alone, you can better enjoy the experience of fine dining. Since I didn't have anyone to talk to, I was able to put my attention fully on the food, wine but also on the fine details of my surrounding.

The restaurant is at the 5th floor of the Mandala Hotel. I really appreciated the setting, it gave an immense calm vibe. It's not overly crowded with tables and I had a pretty view on the fountain which was centralized in the restaurant.

Staff was near perfect. Enormous attention for detail as you would expect from a 2 star restaurant.

I opted for the full gourmet menu at 8 courses. You also have an option for 5, 6 or 7 courses.

The food was just incredible. I especially enjoyed the monkfish and scallops, but I was completely blown by the main dish: Veal cheek. I was skeptical at first on the combination with the vanilla, but when I tasted this, it was just … Might be the best thing I've ever tasted.

I also took the wine pairing. Most wines were German and I always like it when restaurants try to include local ingredients or wines.

In short: A tremendous experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you're in Berlin.
