The French Open has an entirely new meaning for Francophiles and foodies in the Park Cities and Preston Hollow.

Frenchie, a fashionable French brasserie developed by Travis Street Hospitality, opened Monday, June 23, in The Plaza at Preston Center in the space formerly occupied by Corner Bakery. Frenchie joins Travis Street Hospitality’s award-winning restaurants Knox Bistro, Georgie, Le Bilboquet, Le PasSage, and Rose Café.

During its opening week, Frenchie is open for lunch and dinner daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and reservations are required.

Official hours are Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. til 9:30 p.m., Friday 7 a.m. til 10:30 p.m., Saturday 9:30 a.m. til 10:30 a.m. and Sunday 9:30 a.m. til 9 p.m. Representatives for the company said they will launch breakfast and brunch service in the coming weeks.

Frenchie is more casual than its sister restaurants, but no less chic. Regulars of Knox Bistro and Le Bilboquet will see familiar menu items such as the Cajun Chicken salad and entrée, mussels and fries, and the fluffy, sky-high Quiche Lorraine. I noticed some favorites of Culinary Director Bruno Davaillon, including Leeks Dijonnaise, a dish frequently offered in the Loire Valley of France, Bruno’s home terroir.

Frenchie will have a full bar and wine menu featuring French wines from boutique wineries. Plenty of non alcoholic beverages are available, too, as Frenchie is tres family and kid friendly.

Originally slated to open in spring, Frenchie opened just in time to be a consolation prize for those who are in stuck in Dallas during the hot summer. Stay tuned for my review.

Frenchie is located at 8420 Preston Center Plaza. Make reservations on Resy and follow on Instagram at Frenchie Preston Center.
