Quick and easy shrimp scampi recipe, delicious and simple weekday meal.

my wife and kids all used to hate shrimp but this is the recipe that changed their mind i’ve got two tablespoons of olive oil and one stick of butter getting ready in this pan over medium heat once the butter starts getting melted you’re going to add half a whole large onion diced up and sauté that until it’s translucent with five cloves of minced garlic i put half a pound of pasta in the boiling water we’re going to get that started as well now the onions and garlic have sauteed and the onions are translucent we’re going to add 3/4 of a cup of dry white wine we’ve got the sauce with the wine up to a simmer it’s been simmering for probably 2 or 3 minutes now we’re going to go ahead and add the juice from three lemons freshly squeezed and then a big pinch of salt and pepper and then you’re just going to let that simmer and tighten up a little bit before we put in the pasta and the shrimp the sauce is almost done i’m going to add a few splashes of u some hot sauce to give it an extra kick i’ve got it over medium heat you want to make sure that you’re not overcooking your shrimp so go ahead and pour those in and then only let them cook for about two maybe three minutes if you’re starting to think that the shrimp are done they probably are so go ahead and add your angel hair pasta and mix it all together and you’ll have it complete serve with two lime wedges some Parmesan cheese and then some chopped parsley and voila let’s see what the stingy Italian jud says
