So I picked up a “used” dojoe off Amazon for my big Joe for $110. This thing is awesome. It got up to 700° relatively fast and held temp for cooking 3 pizzas. I really like it. These are the best pizzas we’ve ever made! I also made a crude aluminum door to place on the opening to try and save to coals. I read a bunch of reviews about wasting the coals and I really did not want to try and pick up the big dojoe when it’s screaming hot!
We used the dough recipe that came with the dojoe and each pizza cooked for about 5 min.

Just refurbished my grandfathers 1977 kamado. Going to try this soon.

Do you have any pics from the side? I had got mine out last summer and had issues getting the temp above 700 (trying to make Neapolitan style). My sides had an air gap that I think contributed to it. I lined up the Do Joe and everything
