Mozzarella Sticks
Ingredients:
Nurpur Mozzarella Cheese
Eggs
All-Purpose Flour
Oregano Powder
Salt
Black Pepper Powder
Breadcrumbs
Cooking Oil
Method:
1. Prepare Mozzarella Sticks:
Take one block of Nurpur Mozzarella Cheese
Slice the cheese into uniform sticks.
2. Set Up Breading Stations:
Station 1 (Eggs): Crack 2 large eggs into a shallow bowl or plate. Lightly whisk them with a fork until the yolk and white are combined.
Station 2 (Flour Mixture): In another shallow plate, combine approximately 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour with 1 teaspoon of oregano powder, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of black pepper powder. Mix well.
Station 3 (Breadcrumbs): In a third shallow plate, spread out approximately 1.5 to 2 cups of breadcrumbs.
3. Bread the Mozzarella Sticks (Double Coating):
Take one mozzarella stick at a time.
First, coat it completely in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
Next, dip it into the beaten eggs, ensuring it’s fully coated.
Then, return it to the flour mixture for a second coating.
Dip it into the beaten eggs again for a second egg wash.
Finally, thoroughly coat the stick in the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to ensure an even and thick layer.
Repeat this double-coating process for all the mozzarella sticks.
.
4. Heat Oil for Frying:
In a deep pan or pot, pour enough cooking oil to deep-fry the sticks.
Heat the oil over medium-high heat to approximately 175-180°C (350-360°F). You can test the oil by dropping a tiny pinch of breadcrumb; it should sizzle and float immediately.
5. Fry Mozzarella Sticks:
Carefully place a few breaded mozzarella sticks into the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
Fry for 1-2 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Watch closely, as they cook quickly.
6. Serve:
Serve the hot and crispy Mozzarella Sticks immediately, as they are best enjoyed while the cheese is still melted and gooey.
Accompany them with your preferred dipping sauce (like marinara sauce or ketchup) and garnish with fresh herbs or cherry tomatoes if desired.
