40+ years ago, we would go to a bakery that had cheese-filled straws. They looked like pirouettes and were filled with all types of fillings.
My family would travel all over Chicago for food. I grew up on the South-East side, but I don't think the bakery was in our neighborhood.
This is what I think they looked like. They were not puffy.
Does anyone remember these wafers or where I could but these?
My Dad was the one with a great memory but he passed during covid. My Mom rembets eating them but no other details.
Any help would be appreciated.
