I typically use 1/4 tsp of butter extract in each bowl instead of a tablespoon of butter, which is 100cal.

Wait omg can you give me a detailed review of this and how it compares to real butter?

I ADORE this stuff. As well as the LorAnn version as this is hard to find in Canada. And Kinder’s Buttery seasonings. It’s basically diacetyl, acetylpropionyl, and or acetoin. I coat everything in one of these and now real butter is deeply unsatisfying in most contexts.

Look up Watkins extracts. They have a maple flavor that’s amazing in oatmeal and I also add it to coffee. They have tons of other flavors, too!

This is such a great idea! I can’t seem to find any nutrition info, tho… is it negligible?

Oh yeah, I used to love doing this. Totally forgot!

  7. I’d never heard of this until I looked up recipes for Butterbeer. I wish we had it in the UK!

Tell me you are USAmerican without saying you are…

Ooh I’ll have to try this sprinkled on popcorn. I usually stick with old bay and maybe nutritional yeast. This could definitely elevate things.

My god dude just use the real butter. I’m all for tracking calories and do it myself but this is overkill. Half a tablespoon of butter is 50 calories. That is not that much. Just use the real butter.
