WOAH. Astonishingly fresh for its age, this 1986 Louis Jadot Pernand-Vergelesses defied my expectations. The color remains vibrant—remarkably youthful with clear ruby hues. On the palate, it tastes almost brand new, with lively acidity and a clean, structured profile. Subtle earthy tones and the red fruit notes linger, showing the elegance of mature Burgundy with minimal hints of tiredness. A rare and beautiful surprise from a wine nearing its fourth decade. A wine I’ll remember for a long time!
