The Plaza at Preston Center welcomed a new French brasserie, Frenchie, on Tuesday, June 24. It’s the Travis Street Hospitality’s, known for Knox Bistro and Le Bibloquet, first concept outside the Knox-Henderson neighborhood. Frenchie replaced the location previously occupied by Corner Bakery.

The 4000-square-foot restaurant features an all-day lunch and dinner menu. Inspired by classic French bistro comfort food, the menu simultaneously has influences from both the founders’, Stephan Courseau and Daniele Garcia, and culinary director’s, Bruno Davaillon, time in the U.S.

“Frenchie is an American French restaurant made by French guys who are now in the American mainstream,” Courseau said in a statement. “Frenchie represents the version of the French people we are today. It’s who we became over the years – authentic to who we are today.”

The restaurant also carries their French bistro concept into their design, featuring pewter bar tops, patina-ed mirrors, brass sconces, rattan chairs and rows of cozy banquettes.

Make sure to grab a reservation at 8420 Preston Center Plaza to try this new eatery.
