How I Store and Keep Meal Prep Fresh 🍗🍚🍝

Showing you all how I store meals in the fridge and freezer to maximize flavor and freshness!

1.) whatever I plan to eat within the next 3-4 days goes straight into the fridge
2.) the rest of the meals go into the freezer, where they can last up to 6 months
3.) pick a meal from the fridge and reheat it in the microwave; I keep the lid on and slightly off-center to allow the meal to steam
4.) transfer a meal from the freezer to the fridge and place it in the back of the line; this gives it 1-2 days to defrost before reheating
5.) as I cook fresh meals for dinners throughout the week, I turn leftovers into extra meal prep
6.) I add these extra meals into the freezer and fridge to create even more of a variety
7.) I try to meal prep 2-3 different meals a week in addition to cooking 2-3 fresh homemade dinners a week; this gives us at least 4-6 different meals to choose from
8.) repeat the cycle and enjoy!

  1. I seen those containers around in my grocery store. I can not think of the name for it but those are cool to have. I reuses mines when I get takeouts from a certain place.

  2. To avoid freezer burn never put warm meals in freezer, cool them down. Put a sheet of plastic wrap down first if lid is a little loose, just remember to remove it before cooking! Also, make a few first and see how they work in your freezer so as not to ruin an entire batch. JMT 😊

  3. That plastic you’re using is so fckn unhealthy. Look up how bad the black plastic is. Or don’t care. Idc. Eat the plastic after the food. But ya. Js

  4. Can I ask something?
I like eating my food cold (yes I’m a weirdo) so if I take a meal out of the freezer and let it fully defrost if I eat it without warming it up will it taste horrible?

  5. I have a surgery coming up. I wanted to cook a bunch of meals and store them in the freezer. I thought about getting a vacuum sealer for food to do this with. But what you showed looks good as well. I also like the idea of taking out one meal out of the freezer to put them in back of the meals in the refrigerator to allow it to defrost. Thank you for the inspo.

  6. Great idea, but my only problem is I get tired of food too soon. And with the price of groceries, wasting food is not an option.

  7. How long does it take you to prepare all those meals ? I only meal prep for a week. I do 7 breakfast, 7 lunch, and 7 pre-workout meals, and it takes me about 3 to 4 hours on Sundays to prepare. Keep in mind the protein I cook it the day before. Great video and great advice. Thank you. Saludos from Miami.

  8. With love: don't live like this or you will ended up in cancer, microwaving food in plastic, at least transfer it to porcelain then microwave it, or even better use oven to heat it.

  9. You say keep fresh but then put in freezer
We're you dropped during birth? 😂😂😂 frozen isn't fresh

  10. I am bedbound so don't cook anymore. My caregivers will make a meal with several servings. I will eat one, the remainder goes into food prep containers and into the freezer. I have divided food prep containers also. So there could be two sides and a main to be heated in the microwave at a later time. Works great for holiday meals especially as generally there's a lot of food made at one time. Soups also. I have 8 oz and 16 oz containers so the soups and stews are frozen into servings that I will eat at one time. Desserts also. Cookies, brownies, cupcakes so I can eat just one or two, the rest go into the freezer.

  11. If I spend that amount of money in the beginning of the month to meal prep all my meals for the next six months then will I be left with any money to spend of the rest of the things?

  12. I dnt know what’s the purpose of this food prep for months… I get it for cupple days or a week but There’s nothing much fresh about putting food away on freezer for months 😂😂😂 you still gonna lose most if not all of the nutrients, quality and I thought that was the main reason for eating… so crazy so much people in the comments applauding this!!! People certain bacteria 🦠still grow in freezer
