As you can see the Egg is closed super damn tight on one side and has a slight opening on the other. I loosened the bands to fix the bottom band as the back side was lifted and the front was shut. Can anyone explain to me on how the bands and hinges work?

I loosened the bottom band to get the band back to the edge and tightened. Everything looks good when I tighten the side bolts that allow you to adjust the lid fwd and backwards but as soon as I lift it and put the springs back on, it creates the gap. What exactly dictates the lift of the lid? Are the hinges too wide, is the top band not level.

Everything was fine, had to take it apart as I was moving, put it back together and now I can’t get it back to the way I had it. I’ve watched countless videos and the guys just move shit around without really explaining what does what

A new gasket would help this issue quite a bit it.

Loosen the bands to allow the dome to fall those extra millimeters. Tightening them back down can be a little nerve wracking, but trust me when I say you can go super tight without worry

Edit. Specifically the bottom band looks like it’s sitting too high. If it’s not wanting to move, use a flathead screwdriver to help push it down a smidge all around
