Hell yeah! I was listening to Anthony reading Kitchen Confidential today and didn’t know. It’s so good. His performance of the chapter, “A Day in the Life” is, well, *chef’s kiss*

He recommended and went to the “underground” coney here in Detroit while there’s two big companies on the busiest street downtown that “duke it out” (it is as you think – they’re for the tourists and the best coney’s in town are the family spots).
Duly’s Place Coney Island in Detroit still has his photo up on the wall and the newspaper articles printed out and plastered all over. Funny enough, it’s my boyfriend’s “family favorite” coney. He only found out after he took me back that it’s the one Anthony went to and loved. He’s one of those people that finds a way to touch everyone, I swear.
