Yes, this is genuinely how I eat eggs.

“High standards” still in the Mariana trench I see

  2. bananarama032

More power to you. I think those look disgusting.

  3. Adventurous-Fill-464

I have a friend who cooks his eggs like this in the morning. He likes his eggs to be crunchy… eggs shouldn’t be crunchy…

  4. Beautiful-Routine489

You know they can be completely cooked well done and still not be crispety crunchety, right?

  5. kierisbetter

Egh I can smell the burnt egg through the screen

  6. kwexxler

I am the EXACT same way with my eggs; if they’re not dry and crispy I find them disgusting. I hate soggy, wet egg whites

  7. beanedjibe

i love this kind of fried eggs. i eat runny sunny sideups, but this ^ is the one i grew up to..

  8. Lifemarr

In north carolina thats how we cook them to go on a breakfast biscuit. Nothing wrong with that

  9. Laticia_1990

I also prefer my fried eggs to be moisture-less. The wetness squicks me out.

It took a long time to get used to things like hot noodles or hot rice with a runny egg on top. I do enjoy that at least, but 70% of the time I overcook my yolk

I can’t have brown on my eggs. I will cook them low and slow until the are cooked through but I have to peel off any of that gross brown hard skin that is on yours.

  11. Obtuse_Purple

My sister loves her eggs like this. She’ll make them thin so they get crispy too. Whereas I like sunny side up eggs.

  12. Charirner

The one on the left looks like fried chicken ffs.

  13. ObliviousFantasy

    I couldn’t do it.

I need a crispy outside but a yolky center

  14. 00Canuck

I’m sorry to tell you this, but there is still almost certainly more than an ounce of moisture left in those eggs.

  15. Mimogger

deep fried eggs are a real thing. i ate these with soy sauce growing up

  16. swagmasterjenny

i love these types of eggs, try frying them in sesame oil!

This isn’t a “high standard”. High standard implies that it’s Michelin star excellence.

Quite the contrary, this follows the same logic of my psycho-ex’s, ex-wife that used to eat her steak as though it’s cut straight off the cow in the back yard.

This is the logic of making it edible to the consumer.

Honestly? Respect. I can respect liking weird shit, coming from a guy who used to eat deconstructed Mac and cheese as a kid.

Milk, noodles, and cheese powder all separate.

  19. CitizenShips

Over-hard gang here to support you, brother. Goopy eggs are poopy eggs

  20. No_Mammoth_4945

Better than me. I can only eat eggs in omelette form for some reason

  21. carriegood

I was sure those were the well-toasted english muffins you were going to put the eggs on.

  22. Rubicon816

This is the only way my kid will eat eggs, break those up and brown till crunchy on all sides. No white and pretty much no yellow allowed. Just brown crunchy things.

    Oh…and no salt or pepper.

Idk man, it pains me to make them but to each their own.

  23. mallow_magi

I love this crispy egg too!! Especially with fried rice! Too bad I cannot make it consistently

  24. XPoloAraya

Well, in my country you get one of those in your burger if you’re looking for a cheap and quick bite near a train station.

  25. ShiftyState

I would be curious enough to try them this way.

  26. presidentkokoro

My dad used to cooks his eggs like this (not sure if mom let’s him do it anymore), he just adds salt and pepper afterwards. I’ve had them in a sandwich once, and it wasn’t that bad honestly, it’s just not the way I like them.

There was a Chinese dish with noodles that was topped with a crispy fried egg on top, don’t remember the name. Dad used to ask for the egg to be super extra crispy.

  27. Antique_Brother_9563

Yeah, I’m guessing that you’re pretty HIGH 😉.

  28. You must love Jack-in-the-Box eggs, they’re always burnt to a crisp like this

  29. There are a lot of things I will eat, I’m very rarely picky.

But overcooked eggs will honestly make me gag, even just the smell of that burnt protein.

  30. Malipuppers

I thought those were fried chicken cutlets.

  31. Informal-Release-360

Nah this is how I eat my eggs. I can’t stand the idea of the yolk not being cooked through
