I can see the appeal in this for some folks but my wife literally calls me autistic when she has to listen to me rant about ratios on sandwiches. I need equal bread, meat, veggies, etc or I’m going to absolutely lose my mind.

The only time it’s too much is if it kills you, and even then, you may have just had enough and not actually too much

Yes? Not to get too Star Wars but a sandwich is fundamentally about balance. It is not a vehicle for inserting meat into your face, as fun as that is.
nnohrm29
Needs more mustard to balance it out

There is not.

I’m hearing the words you’re saying, but I can’t make sense of them.
Are you somehow suggesting there’s an upper limit to pastrami on a sandwich?
Tactikyl
Not sure if its still a thing because I haven’t been to NJ in sometime, but a place called Harolds Deli would give you two slices of bread and multiple pounds of pastrami in between. Then, when you take the left overs, they give you an entire loaf of bread to take with it. So no, there is no such thing as too much pastrami!

I often make several meals out of a piled high pastrami

Disregard all other posts. I assure you there is absolutely no such thing as too much pastrami. In worst case scenarios you may need a forklift to get it to your mouth, but it’s all good.🤣

Too much? That’s no where near enough!

Yes, but what is pictured is not too much.

Did they run out of rye bread?

“Is there anything else I can get you?”
“Yeah, a loaf of bread and some other people.”

Might be an unpopular opinion around here but yes. Just give me a well proportioned sandwich any day. Don’t tell me to take a loaf of bread with it either, im going for a sandwich not a grocery trip lol

You can tell you are not from NY and have not been to Katz Kosher Deli.
jorgofrenar
I find pastrami the most sensual of all the cured meats
