hi guys welcome back to my YouTube channel my name is Abby Sola thanks for clicking on this video if you’re a first- time subscriber don’t forget to watch more of my videos and if you’re a returning subscriber thank you very much for coming and I hope you enjoy this recipe so let’s get started into your pot you want to go in some vegetable oil and then you want to add some onions so this is minced onions that is chopped onions anyone you know it as now you want to stir this you want to saute it for some seconds and then you want to go in with your garlic paste so preferably do garlic paste and minced onions because if you’re doing this for commercial purpose some people don’t like onions and they don’t like to see onions visible in their food so you can go for this option now add some pepper and then you continue to saute for more seconds and then you go with your shredded chicken for your chicken make sure to use chicken breast and it could be grilled or boiled for this one I boiled it so now you want to sear it in your um your onions and garlic um oil first and then you keep stirring like this as I’m doing for some minute till it’s um well combined and also fragrant once that is done you want to add your cabbage so I’m going to be adding my shredded cabbage here at this point as you can see me do so I’m adding also red cabbage or if you know it as purple cabbage but this is totally optional now you can do without the purple or red cabbage now going with your carrot and then you just want to stir together so you for your cabbage you want to shred your carrot and cabbage like you shred for your co saw but don’t let it be too too big you want it to be as slim as possible now you want to stir to combine all once you’re done stirring like this you want to add your seasoning curry thyme and salt so you want to combine everything together and allow to steam sometimes your cabbage might come with water but it’s preferable like for you not to stress so much you should drain out the water if your cabbage has water in it but if it doesn’t just keep stirring like this till you get this consistency can you see what I’m showing you by now you should know that your sauce is well done and it is ready to set aside now to be safe so that you don’t want your your sauce dripping I be your filling dripping from your um spring roll so you will pour it in a sie and you set aside to cool now guys I want to make the wrap and for my wrap I’m going to go in with some flour in my bowl sugar salt and um corn flour now I’m going to just add some water i will stir this together so that it can um come to a runny paste just like the way you make your pancake you know that that paste that you use to make your pancake okay that’s what we are trying to achieve this is one out of many methods of making the spring wrap and if you don’t know how to make this but I’m teaching you this so you can know how to make it you can buy yours at the store it works too but honestly you want to make yours at home because you are rest assured that is freshly made so you want to keep stirring with your you want to keep whisking this till you get a very good consistency like this and then you want to add a bit of oil to it now mix this paste till you get rid of all the lumps and once that is done you want to get a pan a frying pan like this um non-stick pan preferably nonstick pan now you want to spread the paste on the pan the way I’m doing in a circular manner so you fill up all the open space with it so you get this brush this called pastry brush you can also use the brush that they use in painting all those small small red brushes that they use for painting but this is a pastry brush and it makes your work easier now you want to spread the paste around it to um to fill the circular part of the non-stick pan and once that is done that you get this your what’s the name should be on a low heat your heat it should be low so that it will not burn now you remove it from the edge and like I did now let’s do it again so spread it around the pan like I’m doing right now with my brush like you’re just painting you actually enjoy this part if you like painting so just spread it spread it like I’m doing keep spreading till you fill all the holes because you don’t want your pastry or your shama your sorry your spring growth sheet to have holes so you keep spreading like this till it’s filling and as you’re spreading it’s getting sticky like it is forming like you can see it do right now so once that is done you just want to pull it out from the edge so from the edge you would have seen that the edge is dry kind of is not as what’s the name as the inner part is not as pastry like as the inner part now from that edge you pull it up and your past your sheet is ready now you can pile it on but spray powder in between what I mean by powder is flour in between so that it doesn’t stick together now let’s wrap the spring roll so that runny pastry you did that you used to make this wrap that is what you’re going to be using as your gum so you that’s what I showed earlier now you’re going to put your filling please don’t let your filling be too much because it can bust open the sheet your wrap it can bust open the wrap so now you fold in first you first fold into midway remove if in cases like this just remove the fillings that spread a bit spilled over now fold in two sides and then you roll make sure you come you you bring everything together put your gum that is the runny pastry uh what’s the name runny batter the runny batter put it and you have this what do you guys think like this is so perfect you can sprinkle some flour on it too and put aside so repeat the same process put your um your wrap on a clean surface put your filling fold in two sides and then put your gum seal together and you are good to go and guys your spring roll is very spring is very easy to make honestly it’s very very easy to make and you will enjoy because there’s no Nigerian party without spring and samosa don’t worry I’m going to share a recipe of samosa soon now you want to deep fry your spring roll you want but don’t deep fry your spring when the oil is not too um is not hot because it’s going to soak oil now so you fry until it is golden brown and by time it’s golden brown so you keep stirring you will not let it just stay there and be frying on it own at least once in a while just stir so that it can fry evenly now you want to once the um what’s the name your spring roll is golden brown like this that I’m showing you on the screen that means it’s good to go you want to take it out and then you keep frying the rest so guys if you have watched this video to this point that means this video is very helpful and
