My 3rd woot order arrived ahead of the other 2. This was my latest order, I hope I still get the other 2.
This one came damaged since it was not shipped in a box but in a plastic bag. I am not concerned so much as to the dent on the pod, but on the barcode.
Will the dent on the pod affect the spinning and will the barcode be affected by the slight dent on the edge?

They will be fine. My toddler literally smashes mine and they always work fine.
If the barcode rim is still flat it’ll probably work

Dents in the dome don’t matter. The ones I’ve been reloading for months are pretty beat up. Bends in the barcode flange do matter, because sealing properly during brewing depend on the flange.
Complain to them to get free sleeves
You got unlucky. My woot order came straight in a Nespresso box and all the sleeves inside were perfect.

Every single one of my orders arrives like this and they all still pour fine so I guess it’s fine.
This happens to me frequently when I order directly from Nespresso. When I call them about it, they tell me to throw them away, but I don’t (they still work). Then they refund me, and on top of that, they credit me for the inconvenience.
While most of the pods you shared should work since there doesn’t appear to be damage on the barcode, I had a shipment a few weeks ago where EVERY single sleeve was damaged and multiple pods’ rings were unreadable. Just look at these!!

I tried flattening them out and still received a flashing red/orange error on the machine. I know I descaled recently so when I searched possible causes for the error, it included the barcodes being unreadable.
I reached out to customer service via chat and they kindly replaced the box.
Is that common for Woot orders? Could that be why they’re on sale?
So i’ve ordered from Woot a few times and most of the times, the boxes come squished. I wonder if the sale on Woot is on returned or damaged boxes that don’t pass the quality checks. It’s happened more than once for me. In fact, the last time i took photos to post here but forgot about it

I dont know about the dome part, but I thought I read that damage bar code could affect the machine. like not good for the machine. I had one damage pod straight from Nespresso, sent them a picture (thru online chat) and they sent me an entire sleeve.
I haven’t tried Woot. are they significantly cheaper ?
