You’re 15 you’ll learn something new every time you cook a steak. It looks very good imo

To the OP. 15 years old? Fantastic job

Put it on a clean plate for serving for starters- that pan sauce / rendered fat isn’t needed for that cut of meat that is already marbled- if you went for / prefer medium you nailed it.
If you do wanna serve it with butter, try putting that plate in a 150° oven so it’ll keep the fat rendered when you’re eating it

Did you let it rest? Just curious it looks like a lot of the juice ran out, but it still looks juicy. Just wondering, still looks great tho!

Keep it up kid, you’re going places!

You did magnificent for your first time! Aim for 120 if you want it nice and red. Better yet, look up the finger/palm method if you haven’t already. Good job

Use a thermometer! Helps with over, and undercooking.

You seared a good steak, according to what you have seen. Cooking it beyond that requires a bit more thought. Keep watching other people’s steaks, and you will learn.

Looks great! Did you dry brine? What kind of oil did you use?

This is better than a lot of the steaks I’ve seen on this sub great job!

If you like butter on your steak try compound butter. Soften your butter, add things like garlic or roasted garlic, thyme, parsley and refrigerate again till it’s hard then cut little blocks and add to the top of your steak when it’s finished. But great job! Maybe let it rest and put on a new plate when finished.

Pretty good it just needed to rest a lil longer all that juice thats on the plate should be in the steak
Amazing-Reply-2495
Great job! Love this. Make sure you pat the steak dry before you put in cast iron and always let rest for 10 minutes after cook. You crushed this one. Nice good sear and tender inside :))

Im gonna pretend to be a 15 year old girl next time I can afford a nice steak. Lol. Nicest ive ever seen this sub be. Same pics, different title, nothing but criticism….which is actually what was asked for. Instead it’s just “good job!”

Maybe try dry brining but I’d be trying to repeat this not even do better. This is beautiful.

I’m impressed that at 15 you cooked a steak. I can’t even get my daughter to boil water.
