This is probably my 4th cook on my new Grilla Chimp and it’s making quite a bit of noise on startup. I’m curious if anyone with the same model has had this issue? Not sure if these are just naturally louder than my past 2 smokers, or if there is an issue here. It has worked great so far, but I’d rather fix any problems now before it breaks down in the middle of a cook.

I don’t think so. 🤔 it’s sounds like you are in a barbershop 😂 getting your hair cut
Mine doesn’t sound like that
What happens when you change it from PID mode to Pro mode? I don’t reccomend using PID mode, you’ll get more smoke with Pro mode.
My Silverbac was making a noise like this after only a few cooks. I opened the control panel and a screw that holds the auger was popping out when the auger fan engaged. I took off the hopper and tightened the screw and no more noise. Took me about 15 minutes to fix.
Yep
My first pellet grill made a similar noise brand new. A wire was touching the fan. I moved it out of the way with a thin skewer through the vent slots. Haven’t heard it since.
I had the same issue on mine. It’s the bottom of the hopper. There are four screws there. You have to loosen them. Either it’s too tight so it’s rubbing the fan or something was knocked during shipping or a wire. Mine was too tight and rubbing the fan
