The festival is set for the end of July at Tanger Outlets in Byron Center.
BYRON CENTER, Mich. — After 25 years, the West Michigan Italian Festival is back with a weekend full of food, drinks, games and family fun!
The festival was originally called Festa Italiana and ran from 1983-1997.
The latest version of the festival will be a two-day event from 11-9p on Friday, July 25 and Saturday, July 26 at the Tanger Outlets in Byron Center.
Chair Stephanie Scott told 13 ON YOUR SIDE, “Italians, we love to bring people together over good food, good wine and celebration and we really wanted to honor the history.”
Attendees can expect live music, bocce, arts and crafts, a spaghetti eating contest, and, of course, classic Italian food and drinks.
Scott added, “part of the festival is honoring the past, but saying yes to the new generation of the future, who we are, just as committed as they were to making sure our children experience Italian culture.”
You can buy tickets to the festival for $1.
