On bread, pasta, even on ice cream: olive oil is a beloved staple, cultivated around the globe since antiquity. One thing we’ve never had here in the UK, however, is a dedicated olive oil bar – but that’s all about to change. Citizens of Soil is launching the Olive Oil Clubhouse in Notting Hill in July. Here’s everything you need to know.
How To Visit The Olive Oil Clubhouse
First thing’s first: what exactly is an olive oil bar? Citizens of Soil promise ‘a one-stop shop for all things extra virgin olive oil’ (aka EVOO). Think olive oil tastings, special cocktails, limited edition bottles, bang-on-trend soft serve topped with the golden liquid, and a line-up of playful EVOO fuelled events.
The Olive Oil Clubhouse will house a shop selling the full Citizens of Soil range, plus small-batch EVOO typically reserved for members. A limited edition Sicilian bottle designed by artist Hal Haines will also be available to purchase.
Events on the agenda include daily olive oil flights (available from 12 to 5pm), inviting guests to sample three totally different EVOOs, each matched with a tasty bite to eat that brings out the oil’s unique flavour – perfect if you’re a newbie looking to learn more about this liquid gold.
If you’re more partial to a drink and a nibble, visit on Thursday evenings for cocktails at golden hour, with complimentary drinks shaken up by some of London’s coolest bartenders. Sip on their creations and nibble a salty snack before heading onto one of Notting Hill’s coolest restaurants.
And as for soft serve, you’ll have to visit at the weekend (19 and 20 July) to get your mitts on the Olive Oil Clubhouse’s collaboration with local London ice cream connoisseurs, Happy Endings. Choose between vanilla soft serve or chocolate sorbet, each elevated with a drizzle of EVOO.
When & Where?
The Olive Oil Clubhouse will pop-up in Notting Hill for 12 days in July: Thursday 17 to Monday 28 July 2025, from 10am to 6pm everyday. However, on both Thursday evenings (17 and 24), the Clubhouse will remain open until 8pm for golden hour cocktails.

Who Are Citizens Of Soil?
Citizens of Soil produce and sell single-estate extra virgin olive oil sourced from small-scale, regenerative farms, particularly those led by women. They’re shaking up the EVOO industry in more ways than one: championing smaller farmers and paying them above market rate; focusing on regenerative agriculture; and creating a subscription service with refill pouches to reduce waste. Purchase EVOO bottles online, or start a subscription for just £15 per month.
