I must be becoming a typical suburban dad because I am now the type of person who gets insanely excited about grill accessories. lol. Check out this insanely cool super heavy duty stainless steel grate from Hunsaker smokers. I appreciated that the owner called me after I placed my order. Can’t wait to try it. There is also a super heavy duty stainless version of the charcoal grate that I am expecting. As far as I know these are 304 stainless steel.

Very nice, My Performer came with a pretty robust grill grate, with removable insert. But the one you show here looks heavier.

Yeah, it never made sense to me that they have some of the chunkiest grates on the gas grills (if you put them flat side up) and the kettles have super thin wire. You should get a really nice sear with these.
