My first box showed up last week barely chilled and the produce was soggy and gross, not fit for the clearance section at Walmart. The meals were ok but even at that intro price I could have ordered take out and not made a huge mess in my kitchen.
Second box came late. Showed up today soggy, wet, and warm. Salmon is no good and everything was gooey and leaking through the box. It was a mess.
Called and after waiting on hold got customer service and cancelled. They agreed to refund one meal for the ruined box from today. Not in the mood to argue about it, took a chance on Hello Fresh and was completely disappointed. Coming to Reddit because now that my membership is cancelled I’m unable to rate the service.

I swear it’s not normally like that. I have gotten a few boxes that the carrier didn’t really handle correctly. Looked a bit like the one in your picture. So far it’s been the exception and not the rule.
Where are you located? Have you talked to customer service?
That seems like a delivery/distribution problem not hello fresh. You’ll need to talk to hello fresh first though
looks like a delivery issue, I’ve had over 200 boxed and no major problems like this! (in California)
I live in NC and my last box was delayed by a day and I had to throw away all of the meat! They refunded me the box but for credit.
Do you live near velociraptors? My god that box is in bad shape
I blame delivery. They’re using someone new (for me at least). Didn’t get my box this week bc it was delivered to a completely wrong address. Customer service was great and I had a credit and shipping refund immediately.
Sorry you didn’t have a good experience. Some of my favorite meals ever have been hello fresh
Change delivery partners. I had issues with FedEx where I live now being total turds. I refuse to accept any large packages from the post office. They now only deliver to me with UPS. All I had to do was switch my days 🤷🏽♂️. I do the same with Amazon after too many issues with FedEx drivers being lazy and their own drivers acting incompetent.
Other than that man never accept a horrible offer. When they screw up and you can prove it, sometimes it helps to threaten them or reporting them to the BBB. (Not even strictly talking HF here just dealing with companies overall) when the customer service is subpar it can make even good companies look like crap. Conversely, great customer service saves face.
This is rare. I’d recommend just appealing with ur bank
This happened to me too. I live in NJ
Hey there! Sorry to read about your experience.
I’m building a tool to make meal planning easier (without subscriptions or boxes). I’d love to make you a free 7-day meal plan based on your preferences, along with a grocery list to import to Instacart – no strings attached, just trying to test if this idea is useful.
common issue with hellofresh. I recommend cancelling
I work at hello fresh
