used to serve for a pizza place that had a playground attached to it. pretty common for parents to order the kid something as soon as they get there and then put theirs in after they could actually look at the menu

As one who has dined with kids, sometimes I don’t know what I want, but if this fucking kid won’t shut up….. I will order their meal the second I walk in the door…… then place my order when I figure it out.

Oh yeah. You get that toddler their food A S A P, then order for the adults when ready.

If I saw this, I would assume it’s a table of 6 adults drinking and 1 child eating…but I do live in Wisconsin

Its pretty normal to order a kids’ food first. They way they arent crying and running around. Im sure the adults ordered food too.

With two kids I have definitely walked into a place and said, “your finest cheese pizza and chicken tenders for the lady and the gentleman with the most haste, please, that will stop the screamening from haunting your establishment. The adults all need a chance to look at the menu.”

I’m sorry but kids food usually gets put in and sent out waaay before the rest of the table. What restaurants do y’all work in??

Before I returned to kitchen life, I was bar managing. My server, M was a fit, tall older dude, I’m an average height woman. M came to me because a guy at one of his tables was trying to bring him outside to fight. So I go over, 4 foot nothing dude gets aggressive with me about his table of 4, all drinking water, not being able to order 1 single kid chicken strips so they could stay and “support the musicians”. My guy, we pay the artists based on sales and kids food is a loss leader. Needless to say they were asked to leave and not return. There may have been threats of calling security and pepper spray but bitch, you treat my people with respect.
