I needed to make quick, cheap lunch for work but had only few ingredients: bread, spaghetti, some pasta sauce and cheese so I decided to make some spaghetti sandwiches and I was surprised by how good it was! Stupid nonetheless lol

  1. I’ve done this with leftover spaghetti. I love my carbs.

With garlic toast or focaccia bread this would be good

I’d usually do this on spaghetti day at school. Load up a pile of spaghetti on whatever piece of bread they give you. Even better if you butter the bread first.

Peak British cuisine. Noodles on bread is 🤌

I literally just had noodles in a wrap. Incredible, actually.

I’ve done this with lasagna and garlic bread. Trust your instincts.

That bread better have butter on it. Preferably not melted. Delicious as leftovers but I’m guilty of making spaghetti just so I can have it like this.

I’ve done that with garlic bread.

Making it on garlic toast is not stupid, other than that, pretty stupid.

Better than my lunch the other day of squeezing spaghetti out of a ziplock bag like it was gogurt.

White bread and softened butter is the way

As a kid, white bread, buttered heavily, a scoop of spaghetti…I thought I was Jacques Pépin

Not stupid. Done this dozens of times. Will do it again.

I mean I die by having toasted buttery bread in my mouth with spaghetti, I might not sandwhich it but the taste! Chefs kiss

  19. To do it right you need chewy italian sub bread that has been hollowed a bit. Make a meaty arrabiata sauce with ground chuck that has a high fat content, and ladle the bread with the sauce to soak in a bit. Cut the pasta so noodle bites aren’t too long, and use a thickener like small amounts of mashed potato flakes so that you get a good amount of sauce in your scoops of pasta. Thin, thin oval-shaped slices of meatball that are pan browned, dipped in sauce, dusted in parm, and then placed on the bread.

    Bread – Sauce – Sliced Meatball – Scoop(s) of spaghetti – Sliced Meatball – Sauce – Bread
