Super disappointed in the quality lately. The slaw was delivered Tuesday, photo from Thursday. Not pictured: the many bunches of cilantro that were mainly stems that had most of the leaves removed.

    The slaw/cabbage packets have been awful recently. They are already brown when they arrive. They aren’t technically rotten. The cabbage is still crunchy and tastes fine, but it looks atrocious and is unappealing. Honestly, I toss them in my compost and just buy a cabbage mix from the store or sub in my own veg.

    This is why I quit Hello Fresh several months ago. I loved the concept and earlier meals were great, but the continued diminishing quality of the produce was really something I couldn’t justify paying for.

    The short answer is that companies have every incentive to see *just how* much they can cut corners before customers abandon them. The goal for them is to earn as much money as possible while putting in as little effort as they can.

    We switched to EveryPlate. It’s run by the same company as HelloFresh and very similar meals/packaging. $30 less per week and I feel delivery and produce is actually better somehow.
