I’ve heard many good things about this place and I really wanted to like this sandwich but the bread to filling ratio was way off. Their gumbo is really good, they just gotta work on the po boys. It’s $10 for a large with a side. I will happily pay $2-3 more if it means more filling.

Yeah, I love in the neighborhood and I’m always disappointed by the sandwiches. Love the gumbo though.

Roast beef po’ boy does not disappoint, fwiw. That’s the go-to there.

Shrimp Po Boys, outside of Louisiana, basically always suck. Stuffed’s bread is actually pretty accurate. But, yeah, there should be like double the amount of shrimp.

Uptown Sports Club really nails the flavors, maybe more than anywhere else around here. But, again, way too little shrimp.

You want more shrimp? Ask for it and pay for it! This sandwich is only 10 bucks. All other poboys around here are double that price. Plus they get their bread from Gambinos in New Orleans.

Tell them to offer the “stuffed” version for $4 more.

Bread looks good, though could be a little longer. Fries look decent. Fillings are too sparse. Needs more shrimp, lettuce, pickles? Lil Easy is the best po boy I’ve found in Austin (but ask for remoulade sauce only)

Native New Orleanian here: Big Easy Bar and Grill trailer (used to have a brick and mortar on e 12th) is quite literally the only New Orleans food spot I have been satisfied with. Big Easy has their trailer at mueller park rn- they even have yakamein for the real ones!

Lil Easy food has been awful every time (drinks are fine if you are trying to relive your trip to a daq shack or the hurricanes tourists get in the quarter). Stuffed is decent if I can get out there. Okra was particularly great last time I went actually

Is it just me or does it look like their oil was burnt?

I didn’t love my po-boy from there when I went. And I side-eye any place that uses romaine lettuce to dress it.

Edit: y’all don’t know shrettuce is supposed to be iceberg? What are these downvotes for? I’m from the parish, I know what I’m talking about.

More like Not Stuffed am I right? jk, love this place.

  10. Boinkology

I remember their andouille and boudin sausage being really really good.

I want to love them SO much… from the gulf coast and I love Cajun food with my whole heart. I have gotten the etouffee rice on side quite a few times, just hoping…. It’s honestly great quality but my god they salt it so much, I can’t finish it. The roux and sauce and amount of trinity is just spot on perfect… except it’s like licking the Dead Sea

  12. When you roll up and don’t have the patience to wait in line for InterStellar bbq, Stuffed is right across the street to save the day. And Stuffed could post on their menu $5 up charge to double up on Po Boys. I’m an in.
