We are in Calgary for a friend’s wedding, and I decided to try some sushi I wouldn’t normally be able to get in our small town. I’m use to AYCE maki rolls and mediocre nigiri, so I was excited to try something different and branch out!

I had been warned the ikura would be salty, and they were right. Not sure if I would order again, but I’m glad I tried it. The spicy tuna roll was delicious, and I also really like the seared salmon nigiri and the spicy prawn hand roll. The hotate special was okay, not much flavour, and the surf clam was good and not as chewy as I have had before. The rice was okay, maybe slightly undercooked? Ratio seemed decent too, definitely less rice than the usual AYCE amount.

All in all, pretty good experience and the food arriving in a little train was definitely a cool bonus. Prices seemed decent to me, being in a big city.
