I like to use lime juice and toasted cumin seeds with my red onions. The white jar is a new thing I'm trying with sweet Vidalia onions and wildflower honey infused brine.

Lime juice, sliced habanero, cinnamon, black pepper, bay leaf, garlic, and…I think that’s it?

Szechuan pepper. A hint of the numbing comes through.

Sugar! I like my picked onions sweet! And then I add paprika, chilies, and cumin for some yummy spicy!

  5. I’m growing peppers and red onions, and I am very interested in your pepper set up.

My favorite that I’ve done was seasoned with sage, rosemary, dried chiles, and sweetened with maple syrup. It was incredible.

  7. I will include rosemary. It is my favorite herb 🌿

I like to play a little spice cabinet roulette and open it up and see what looks good at the time when I make them. the only one that didn’t turn out quite like what I wanted was the time I tried poultry seasoning lol. I ended up using those in chicken soup though so it worked out.

my favorite was when I used apple cider vinegar, and mustard seed, and a dried Cayenne pepper. had a very nice kick and flavor

  9. I always use Alton brown’s recipe for bread and butter pickle brine when I pickle anything…

Depends on my mood for the day. Usually nothing but sometimes i might chuck in some fresh thyme and a bay leaf along with some peppercorns.

I’d like to try adding some kaffir lime or curry leaves just for shits and giggles to see what happens now that I think about it.

    The possibilities are almost endless

The batch I made the other day with just Apple vinegar 2 cups, a tablespoon of salt, two of sugar and a splash of balsamic vinegar.
