just makes it messier to eat, screws up the bread to cheese ratio, and is hardly an indicator of sandwich quality

OMG, I HATE when people brag about cheese pull, or think it is a positive factor in a grilled cheese (or pizza, or anything.) It is just dumb.

Cheese pull photos are the equivalent of going to a well regarded restaurant, ordering, taking pictures of the food, posting them to instagram, then leaving without eating. Looks over taste.

  2. imho cheese pulls are cool, but not what I look for in a grilled cheese I make.

Totally agreed. I generally just block any creator I see post about the cheese pull.

    It’s just perfomative

I like a cheese pull but I don’t make anything with the sole aim of getting a cheese pull and I don’t get people that get mad when there’s not one. If it’s cheesy and tastes good, I’m more than satisfied

Even hotter take: Cheese pulls are a BAD thing.

Hard agree, cheese pulls are more of a sensory hurdle than a plus in a lot of foods. I seek out the simple grilled cheese over most other cheesy foods because they aren’t traditionally made with mozzarella and therefore are easier to chew. Adding way too much cheddar/etc. on a grilled cheese would only leave me at square one again. As long as it’s fully melted through I’m happy, regardless of what happens once it’s pulled apart.

  7. Maybe? Idk… I want my cheese melty. Don’t take away my mozz sticks that are perfectly done, that’s for sure.
