Just got into sardines recently cause of Canned FIsh Files, after about 2 weeks of eating king Oscar's I decided to go on a dine hunt and try out as many brands as I could find at my local stores. Really sad I couldn't find any Nuris as those ive been wanting to try those the most besides bela and fishwife. Have been a fan of canned oysters and mussles for a long time but havent tried the patagonias so figured why not. Not too sure about anchovies but figured they cant be too bad lol

    The Patagonia white anchovies are really really similar to regular deens. They have their own flavor but it’s delicious as well. Those Minerva’s are good and the belas are always a staple like ko. Welcome to the obsession.

    Last night I opened back to back tins – Matiz wild sardines in piquillo peppers and Sealect mackerel fillets in spicy tomato sauce, the wife and I both agreed Sealect blew Matiz out of the water. I know, sardines and mackerel, piquillo peppers and tomato sauce, but just a gentle reminder that the Veblen effect is real when it comes to fancy dines
