Get ready for fig season in Western Australia! My neighbor has an enormous tree, and guess what? I scored some fresh figs!
Last year, I whipped up Fig Jam, but this time I’m diving into the delicious world of Caramelised Figs with Balsamic Vinegar.
The perfect blend of caramel sweetness and tangy balsamic creates an exquisite flavor explosion. Topped with Balsamic glaze and crème fraîche, it was absolutely divine!

Ingredients
10 ripe figs
3/4 cup castor sugar
80gm Butter
30 ml brandy
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
balsamic glaze for garnish
2 tablespoons of Creme Fraiche
sprig of mint
