Hello everyone and welcome back to our kitchen!
Here I am making a Wheat Pita Bread from Scratch
In a bowl, dissolve 1 tbspn of active dry yeast, Sugar with a cup warm water
Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
Once the yeast is ready, add it to the flour mixture and combine everything together until a dough starts to form.
knead it for about 5-7 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a kitchen towel. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
Once the dough has risen, divide it into smaller balls and rest it for another 15 mins
Roll each one out into a circle, about 1/4 inch thick. and rest it for 15 mins
Now, heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook each pita bread for about 2 minutes on each side, or until they puff up and start to brown.
And there you have it, homemade whole wheat pita bread that’s perfect for dipping, stuffing, or enjoying on its own. Thank you for watching and we’ll see you next time with another delicious recipe. Happy cooking!
