Soo, I was doing my morning rounds when I noticed that the top of my tomato plant didn’t look right. I said huh, it’s like something chopped the top off. Then I saw the little bastard. I ended up finding 3 more on other plants. Caught one of them actively chewing a tomato.

We had previously been doing pretty damn good with bugs here in South Carolina. We have an ungodly number of either grass spiders or wolf spiders in our yard, I think they help a lot.

To make things worse, I smashed the biggest one with a brick on my steps and it splattered all over my face and clothes.
I guess he won that battle in the end.

Are the little black balls their poop? I noticed that on all the plants I found them on.

I’ll be out tonight with the black light.

Blech, the splashback. I just got that yesterday from my Dr. Earth / worm casting fertilizer tea. In the mouth too. Yeeeuck.

Yeah, the little black-green balls are their poop. Most of the time if I look directly above them, I find the worm that left them there.

Also in South Carolina and also hate e had my first encounter. Yes, the black balls are worm sign.

If there’s one (although I know you said 3) there’s definitely more. Been spraying with this. Seems to help some

I found one tiny one about 2 inches long before he could do any real damage. I’ve been lucky this year but I fear it’s just begun.

This story makes me happy about my small high rise balcony garden.

If you have a hand held black light you can find them easily in the dark!

Dude, seriously, I just put them out in my driveway which is way far from my garden and birds come by and take them. That or just put them in a container with soapy water. No need to squash them lol. Some people snip them with scissors and I think that just fuct x100.

And yes the little black balls on the leaves below where you find them re their poop. That’s one way to figure out if you have them and also help you locate them.
