4th of July is this week and this no-churn apple turnover ice-cream is simply perfect! A smooth, melt in your mouth ice-cream that requires no ice-cream machine. It’s made with fresh apples cooked in a spiced compote and flaky puff pastry. It tastes amazing and classically American. It only needs 5 ingredients!

    Apple Turnover Ice-Cream Recipe β€”

    β–’ 1 cup dairy free heavy cream

    β–’ 2 tsp vanilla extract

    β–’ 7 oz sweetened condensed oat milk

    β–’ 3/4 cup store bought or homemade apple pie filling

    β–’ 1 cup cooked store bought or homemade vegan puffy pastry, cooled and broken into pieces

    Instructions:

    1. To a large mixing bowl, add heavy cream and vanilla extract. Whip until stiff peaks, about 3-5 minutes.

    2. Add condensed milk and fold in. Then add apple filling and puff pastry bits, fold in again.

    3. Add to an airtight container then cover with a lid. Freeze overnight.

    4. Serve next day or freeze up to 2 weeks until needed.

    I can buy condensed coconut milk. Do you think it would taste too much coconut or would it be okay?
