“Air Finished” is almost meaningless in these “Air Fried” Kettle Brand Chips
This might be more "stupid food advertising" than strictly "stupid food" but anyway… "Kettle Cooked Air Finished" sounds like they are still fried in oil, and then put in an air fryer at the end? What nonsense is this?!

it’s bandwagoning on the whole ‘air fryer’ thing.

Is there a calorie difference?

What about “coated in oil and then blowed with hot air” don’t you understand? Everyone knows that’s way healthier. /s

Pretty much they fry it less and use less oil, then air fry it at the end. Does cut the calories and oil content so that’s good.

Air finished just means they have mostly air in the packet.

I’m actually ok with this. Don’t hate me

Is it being marketed as healthier? Or is it just meant to be a different taste and texture?

Air finished 😂😂😂😂 sounds like the beef when they say “grass finished”. But isn’t everything “air finished” lmao touches the fuckin air dawg

This isn’t dumb.
It’s like a halfway point between those “baked” chips and regular fried chips.
Minimizing calories while maintaining texture and taste without needing a chemical concoction is a good thing, no?
“Air Fried” is basically a high airflow convection oven, which actually works pretty damn well if you trying to reduce overall oil usage.

I had some good ones that said air fried on them. They were perfect circles and a bit smaller than ususal chips. They looked like those fancy cheese crackers. Does anyone have an idea which brand they could be? They were so good

I don’t care how they market it and it’s great that it has less calories.
But I just ate them and I can tell you they don’t have the same snap and crunch as regular kettle chips. It’s starting to lean towards regular chips. And for me, it’s kettle or bust.

I prefer my chips to be finished in the vacuum of space

The original flavor of these suck so bad it tastes like stale oil. it’s almost like they put in a machine to accelerate staleness
