    That’s cheap

Choice around me is now 6$ a lb

  2. StealthCampers

I can get the same amount of enjoyment from a couple pork shoulders

  3. CoatStraight8786

Couple weeks ago prime was 4.99 and my Costco just jumped to 5.79 also. Most places are twice that or same for choice. (Seattle)

  4. I don’t buy whole prime briskets often.

You can still buy a pork shoulder for .99/lb

    Chicken quarters for .89/lb

Smoked chuck roast is awesome and generally much cheaper than brisket.

The (anymore) at the end got my brain all messed up

How can I afford a week’s worth of eating meat for every single meal? Pretty easily. I choose not to, because it’s always too much. I see a $60 one in there I’d be going for.

  7. It’s gone up in price but still a good deal comparatively.

I’m in the Philly suburbs and I’ve legit never seen a brisket for anything less than $8.99/lb. I’d kill for this price lol

  9. PancakesandScotch

Costco meat pricing was the only reason I had a membership. Now the choice cost more than the prime did and the prime is never in stock to be overpriced

Hardly anyone ever needs to do an entire brisket at home, unless they’re having a party. Or freezing a bunch to eat on sporadically over weeks or months.

US foods it’s near the wilsonville Costco

  12. Gk_Emphasis110

I feed three boys and it’s cheaper than a fast casual restaurant.

  13. Costco selling their brisket 16.99/lb here in freezeland

    Which is 12$ usd

  14. CryptoAnarchyst

I remember just a handful years ago, it was $1.99 at Costco.

Also from Oregon and I suggest you go to US Chef Store instead. I think it’s $4.99/lb there. I get all my meat for smoking from Chef Store, it’s the best and cheapest!

  16. I honestly almost never cook beef anymore, for exactly this season. Pork all day

  17. Daddy_Day_Trader1303

Every time I shop at Sam’s I wonder who is buying all the briskets

  18. Longjumping-Lie7445

Could be 4th of July prices. Check back after for overstock

  19. Man the briskets I buy in nz are about $36 a kg so roughly $16 a pound. While that’s top quality in my country, our cows are grass few and maybe grain finished. You’ll be alright

The brisket on the front row, far left is beckoning. Meat prices will go back down, but that brisket will be long gone. What could’ve been

Homie this morning at WinCo flats were 70 and points were 80. It’s split! Why is the damn thing as much as a full packer?! 1.98 pork ribs at WinCo though, Costco chicken thighs and shop around for pork shoulders. It’s hard to be a pnw bbq fan on a budget

For me, you don’t get to eat beef too often.

When you do. It’s a weekly thing or a monthly thing.

That isn’t normal for many people.

Getting to buy or cook a couple steaks is a real treat.

  23. Veeksvoodoo

We don’t. I won’t buy brisket unless it’s sub $3.00/lb. Paying that price just because it says Prime is just wasting your money.
